Dalgety Bay Day Care

The association has ambitious plans for the future.

These include :-

Offer day care for housebound older people over 5 full days.
Offer a drop in facility for more able older people.
Increased outreach and support to older people and their carers.
Provide a community facility.

To turn this vision into a reality requires :

A Building
Commitment from Fife Social Work and Health Board.
Continued guaranteed Social Work funding to help secure lottery grants.
Community support from the people living in Dalgety Bay area.
Engage in professional partnerships with business people to maximise our potential and realise this vision.

Colin McPhail, Chair of the Community Council, confirms that ;

There is an urgent need for a Day Care Centre and drop in facility for older people.
The Community Council fully supports the project to build a centre.
The Community Council has allocated land for the Centre.
The Community Council has obtained planning consent with the assistance of Muir Homes.
The Community Council acknowledges the volunteer spirit of the dedicated people who have enabled the Day Care Association to operate.
