Fife Council currently supports the majority of the day-to-day running costs of the association.
Despite this, some fund-raising has to take place for the little extras which the association likes to provide.

Capital items of expenditure, such as buildings, chairs + tables, equipment and so on are not covered by the council grant. The Day Care has to raise all these funds from other sources such as grant-making trusts and donations from groups or individuals.

Some of these individual offers of support are in the form of 'benefit-in-kind'. This is where the donation is not in the form of money, but in goods or services which are used directly by the Day Care. In its simplest form, donations to a bric-a-brac stall would fall in to this category, although obviously in a small scale.

Other benefit-in-kind donations could include 'Professional' advice provided free-of-charge; and this is also of immense value to the Day Care.

Dalgety Bay Day Care has been extremely well supported
since launching its Fund-raising Project for a new building.
